The only difference to the LINE IN jack, the few buttons on the remote control and charges while the system is turned on. Panasonic has a much better job of this. Perhaps a firmware upgrade that will change. Although the system is muted when you connect your iPod, a reboot fixes it locked. I found this online.

Finally, with internet connection, you might think that could integrate Netflix and Pandora. But not yet. I hope that aThe firmware update will add it.

All in all, as Blu-ray Home Theater in a Box is great. I set with HDMI and optical connections everywhere, and it was worth it. But I would like maybe a 4.5 or 5 if not the front speakers so weak, was out of the box. But bigger is not a deal breaker as speakers really cheap which added Oomph missing.

I bought this baby last week for my new home. As usual, I have the problem of Air D Originally, I bought myself an HDMI Dynex by Best Buy for $ 30. I was with the association, we know that did not work.

Here are the questions to get to each.
1) I called tech support and they asked me, with the S-Video cable, they sent me to look. It worked, but not a great video sound good. This has not been happy

2) I then tried setting the pixels at 480p with HDMI. It worked well,but still a picture was not good. So I called technical support to get some new leadership.

3) Someone suggested to mean preserving unity in the vicinity of S-AIR main unit and press the button before piaring pair on the back. I knew with my Dynex HDMI cable. It did not work either.

4) I moved my Dynex HDMI cable coated with aluminum, it did not work.


Final Solution:

I went to Best Buy in search of Triple shielded cable. I saw a monsterCable (59.99) and cable Fish Rocket (59.99).
Monster Cable looks awesome in the thickness bought and went home and connected ... Long live ..... My living room is very long, I kept my 50 "Sony Bravia LCD on a corner and I'm able to sit in other curve as 15-20 meters away. And keep the unit S-Air speakers corner at each end of my couch. This beautiful shielded HDMI cable takes care of them. And the picture quality is sooo amazing with these cables.

I bought one myselfAVATAR buy the best blue ray and oh my ... it rocks !!!!!!

I did not bother calling tech support signal amplifier. So for those of you who spent $ 1,000 to purchase the product and give $ 100 for cable and I do not mind ...

I'm not an A / V expert, nor have I ever claimed to be. I believe, however, have years of experience of dealing with consumer electronics and the joy of learning and using the latest technologies.

This was my first Blu-Ray or home theater system. For the price, I do not think you could probably better established. Again, I am no expert, but the system sounds good and works well. I had pretty low expectations, I did not expect the quality of surround sound or just rich, they are very satisfiedthis purchase. After weeks of research and other flip-flop, I could not be happier. This product in its category (low-end Blu-ray HTIB) is a solid 5 stars. I think the world of Blu-ray HTIB products, is closer to 4 stars, but this is still the element in the current products that cost many more multipliers.

The two biggest advantages and disadvantages of this system are the same article: Set. Physics was set up a breeze. A qualified (or untrained,like me) could be monkeys. Everything is color coded and very intuitive. Get a good optical audio cable to your TV / Cable / Satellite / Sound Console can feed back into the system. The body part I do not like the user menu was. I am very comfortable with electronics. I rarely read the manuals. The menus are intuitive, so it's not even funny. Out of the Box and set-up, the system works well. To make it work a lot, took some effort.A hair in the soup is huge for me that the default setting for the TV HDMI 480p, 1080p NOT. It took some serious digging in the manual and changing menus. There are also three separate locations, to change the sound. One of them is a simple push of a button on the remote control, they are one of two buttons on the remote quite unresolved and the other is a menu item on the front panel display requires only that the manual says bad as you access. However, even if you are comfortable with theseTypes of products for a longer learning curve than usual will be prepared.

On the positive side, however, this same system. The image mosiacs quickly without problems, artifacts, etc. The sound is deep and rich. I, in my humble opinion, I believe that sound as good as everyone else, the most expensive I've heard. Again, I am no expert, but my ears love it. It interfaces well with my TV. The remote is easy to program and let (although different brands) work well together. MyRegular DVDs are upconverted to an acceptable level. As regards the overall power speaker, I am more than happy. I am the Lord of the Rings and during the action scenes aloud, we got some serious signs that I make sure my neighbors do not appreciate. It was like we really are in a cinema.

I rent my house, I'm so hesitant, cut with a real component having home theater system in my room, I go with a stick HTIB. HITB on Blu-ray market is relatively low at the moment, so I shelled out more than I expected in this system. Fortunately, it was worth the money.

These small speakers "bar" (do not know what else might be called real) are incredible. They are smaller than I expected from photos and descriptions, but once set up and configured forRoom (furniture is a bit 'annoying, but the configuration where all devices in the city is easy and fast) I was blown away. Just listen to all those who believe, the sound is funk, frail-looking wafer-speakers. The subcommittee, although passive, Pound low notes.

The system comes with wall brackets and are small and light enough that I installed the modem this weekend. It comes only with desktop stand - if you want the speakers on the mountainSoils, buy a series of charges to increase speaker to appropriate to the plan. Given the low height and footprint of stand-mounted speakers, I was the front speakers on the same level as the TV room and rear speakers on a table beside my bed.

I was more insecure wireless speakers, but the included S-Air system is working fine. S-AIR unit plugs into a socket and connects wirelessly to the versatile receiver, and backSpeakers plug into the S-Air units, instead of the laptop, so there's no worry about batteries. Surround sound through the unit was fine.

The only downside is that you place the speaker wires in the door speaker. Sony has a good idea, but simply not up to snuff. The wires terminate in a great gold-plated items into the bottom of the speakers used, and should seek, but the small size of the housing andpoverty speaker wires directly to these ports (where you tend to "push") makes it a bit 'difficult to do correctly. I'm not sure that all cables are correct, or blocking is not up to par, how to "pull gently on the wires out without them - but everyone seemed to come easily with minimal effort. Once I tried it and thought it would was pretty good, the rest of the installation was simple andSpeakers are working properly.

Also watch out for the tape on the front of the system that the drive door is closed. The mine was easy to forget, until I pressed the open button on the remote control and realized that something was wrong.

I always think that 2000 is still a bit 'on the expensive side, but I do not regret buying this system because I would be much better spent and spent far less and be disappointed sastified.

I was afraid of this system would not be worth as most movies are still not in 5.1, but the real use to 8-channel HD audio. Sometimes it is rather a chilling horror film when the two additional channels in line to take an unexpected noise. Much better than my old Bose 5.1 The picture is amazing w / regular and especially Blu-ray DVD.

The Ipod connection was a little disappointing. I plugged my itouch and iphone in (works with airplane mode). The sound was fine, but nothing really translated onto the screen. It just let you advance, play and stop from the remote. In the end I still would control it from the ipod. The only difference from the line in jack is the few remote buttons and it charges while the system is on. Panasonic does a much better job with this. Maybe a firmware upgrade will change this. Also if your system is stuck in muting when you plug ipod in, a reboot fixes it. I found this online.

I bought this pair with my new LED LCD LG 55lh90. Awesome combo. All well synchronized, and it is very easy to use. I finished my cable box DVR and HDMI Xbox 360 in the processor and then HDMI to the TV. The built-in Blu-ray means for connecting additional cables. All you do is press Play on the remote and starts (no need to change inputs or something. It could not be easier)
As a heads-up, with this set up I said, you never change the input setting on your TV. In order toXbox cables using the input selector on the CPU only. Blu Ray does not require a specific selection. Just push play!

I agree that, after connected and turned on the system for the first time, I thought I made a big mistake. He seemed weak and poor. Then I realized that every single speaker with volume control and there are several settings for sound, they are elected in. Within minutes I had a very good sound. An attitude is a by-passand this seems to work better most of the time. It plays, sounds like it was recorded, giving the true surround sound (provided that the source supports this). For sports use "game". I think that creates a more complete surround experience (which sounds like six seats in applause with the fans around you). If you really want to be impressed with Blu-ray version of Avatar Popup. AssumingYou have a TV capable, you will see how this horny Blu Ray. I do not see how the picture could get any better do what they are. Two thumbs up here. With regard to the sound, enjoy the experience. This system is a powerful and very good performance. , I was worried because on 1 In no separate power cord. I was not sure that would be able to do the job ... It sounds deep rumble, I like it. This system has a lot ofFeatures such as reading, but other than that I mentioned, I just tried to have the feature of YouTube. Pretty cool. I connected the Ethernet cable to the processor, and clicked on the YouTube main menu. I showed my family a few funny videos easy to see how it worked. Also here is really cool and it works, but I'll probably leave it on my laptop.

Ok, now I'm going to criticize a bit '. The sound quality is very, very good, but of course you could always be better.Remember, this system is the price to $ 500 - $ 650 There are other systems that cost thousands of dollars for a reason and you would expect (or hope) that exceed their price for a HTIB. So with that said, this system does sound good ... but it sounds great for the money! After closer inspection I realized that what appears on these speakers tweeter just decoration. Not a tweeter. If you are of course real tweeter system cost increase, but I bet the sound That would be much more surprising. Again, just my observations and opinions.

In summary, considering the price, ease of setup and use and PICThe sound quality to recommend, I would like this looking for this type of system. For die hard fans, get your wallet out and high-end but for the rest of you, this system will more than meet your expectations. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was going to wait a bit longer but since there's only one more review so far, here is my first quick and dirty shot at Sony DAV-IS50/B system (look for updates as time passes by):

Considering my enthusiasm for HD video and surround sound and lack thereof for extra low and loud thumps, I decided to replace my Logitech THX Z-2300 2.1 speakers and go for a 5.1 surround sound home theater system that can fit my small condominium and similar budget. With prices of soundbars recently going down significantly I was considering them for quite a while, but decided to go for more surround. However, all the HTIB systems seemed too bulky for me until Sony came up with these and until the price dropped to a far more affordable 0 range. It is worth noting that the size of the subwoofer unit is approximately of a PC minitower, but the remaining components are very small and handy.


Pros:
- Very sophisticated looks (I love this, especially when you fire it up and let your friends feel the power behind the ridiculously small and seemingly toyish speakers)
- Wireless connection for back surround speakers can be bought if you don't want to run wires from front to back (still need wires to the wireless amp unit though)
- Additional DVD player if you want to save your PS3 or expensive Blu-ray system from being used for kiddie DVDs
- FM and AM radio receiver
- TDM-IP50 iPod port was included and works flawlessly with iPhone 3G without the annoying airplane mode message. Besides audio, I was also able to view video on TV after pressing the "OPR MODE" button on the port which hands over full control of your iPod or iPhone to the system and remote. However, on a big screen TV, youtube videos and podcasts look bad at a low resolution. I like the way you can use the very same IR remote to control iPhone iPod application and browse through songs, artists and videos. (Warning, some pictures of DAV-IS50 are showing it with the older TDM-IP1 port, so I'm not entirely sure you're getting this TDM-IP50 port, which by the way has shorter cable than TDM-IP1)
- Due to their small size, the speakers can be very easily mounted onto a wall with provided mounts (wall screws not included, but regular drywall screws from local hardware store did well in my case).
- Very good sound considering their size
- Great fit for small apartments and condominiums
- Seemingly proprietary speaker wire connections to the amp (subwoofer) unit can be released and same can be achieved on the speakers' side: after releasing the back screw and moving a lever switch that holds them in place, wires at speaker come loose and can be released and replaced or reconnected.

Cons:
- No HDMI in port (the only HDMI port is HDMI out, used to connect the DVD box to a TV)
- Only one port of each type (one optical so if you have more systems with optical audio out, you need a switch box. In this case I'm lacking second optical audio in so I could besides my PS3 connect my TV for over the air tuner)
- Programming preset radio stations is cumbersome and far from intuitive (I had to read the manual to do this, which I never do)
- No HD radio
- At 9 the price is too high for a product that's just been discontinued by Sony (I bought mine for 9 at local brick and mortar store when it was on sale). However, Sony often does this with successful products and it will provide you with good sound, but do yourself a favor and buy it on sale for 9 or at least not over 0)
- Works great for movies, but with music you can tell where the lows are coming from, because of higher cutoff point, so more mid-low-range sounds ends up in the subwoofer (sounds coming from the ideal subwoofer cannot be located because the cutoff is at frequency so low that humans can't locate the source).

I was skeptical about the sound that can come out of these little "miserable" pieces of nothing, however, they managed to gain my respect when I put my iPhone in the store model and played 320 kbps MP3 file and got the huge store filled with music. After marrying a woman who, although virtually half my size and weight, rules my world, I'm not surprised that these speakers at their size can be this loud and impressive. They cannot be used as a main system for a block party, but if you're into small and sophisticated like I am, you will love these. Bose does similar things, but at a price far more than twice higher and that's why most audiophiles can't stand them. Sony, however, (again) got my respect. Of course middle and low levels can never be superior to those of fully sized speakers, but they are there and if you close your eyes and forget about their size, you might be surprised with the effect. Highs and high mids are quite impressive and so are upper and mid lows. Unlike most THX movie audiophiles who prefer the always and every-reputable-home-theater-present unnatural abundance of artificially amplified extra low frequencies, I don't have a thing for the extra loud thumps, so I'm very happy with this system and I mostly keep it on "Night" settings which additionally lowers the mixing-enhanced bump and thump. On my PS3, driving cars and crashing in Burnout Paradise gives a full 3D experience and impressive sound effects and I don't dare to play with volume set louder than one half (maybe will someday if I want to test whether the neighbors can be provoked into calling the condominium association board president to throw us out).

Audiophiles won't buy these and neither will I once I move to a house, but they are great for the rest of us when in or around the 0 price range and I'm not one bit sorry I bought them for this condominium (soon to be sold with them). However, I think I'll replace them with HT-IS100 I just ordered (found them on sale at same price 9) because of the lack of HDMI inputs. For the average user who doesn't have too many inputs and just wants to watch a DVD once in a while, these would suffice and actually could be more desirable because they also provide the extra DVD player at approximately the same price... I already have a PS3 and I like my home theater to have more available HDMI inputs.

Bottom line: At 9 these were a steal. If you can get them under 0 with shipping and tax, go for it.

I had a Blu-ray drive on my computer, but this is my first Blu ray component. It 'was incredibly easy to install. The menus were a bit 'of confusion at times, but the manual I found everything I wanted to tweak. I must say I was impressed, until I started listening to music and watch Blu-ray. The low sub was great, and seems to surround the product. But the battle lines were simply too weak and tinny. I decided then with my experimentSpeakers from my old DVD HTIB. You 6Ohm 100Watt speakers are a bit 'bigger and wood. OMG! The difference was unbelievable! I wanted to post this review just so everyone knows, a pair of stereo speakers and float your old tomb see the child.

The iPod connector is a bit 'disappointing. I put my iTouch and iPhones (it works with the flight mode). The sound was good, but nothing really translated on the screen. It Be Just imagine, play and stop bythe remote control. In the end I would still check out the iPod. The only difference to the LINE IN jack, the few buttons on the remote control and charges while the system is turned on. Panasonic has a much better job of this. Perhaps a firmware upgrade that will change. Although the system is muted when you connect your iPod, a reboot fixes it locked. I found this online.

Finally, with internet connection, you might think that could integrate Netflix and Pandora. But not yet. I hope that aThe firmware update will add it.

All in all, as Blu-ray Home Theater in a Box is great. I set with HDMI and optical connections everywhere, and it was worth it. But I would like maybe a 4.5 or 5 if not the front speakers so weak, was out of the box. But bigger is not a deal breaker as speakers really cheap which added Oomph missing.

I'm not an A/V expert, nor have I ever claimed to be. I do however, have years of experience working with consumer electronics and enjoy learning and utilizing the newest technologies.

This was my first Blu-Ray or home theater system. For the price, I do not think you could possibly find a better set up. Again, I'm no expert, however the system sounds good and works well. I had fairly low expectations, I didn't expect rich sound or accurate surround quality, I am very pleased with this purchase. After weeks of research and flip flopping between other products, I couldn't be more pleased. This product, for it's category (low end, Blu-ray HTIB) is a solid 5 stars. I think in the entire world of Blu-ray and HTIB products, it would be closer to 4 stars, but that's putting the item in the running with products that cost many multipliers more.

The two biggest Pros and Cons of this system are the same item: set up. Physical set up was a snap. A trained (or untrained, like myself) monkey could set it up. Everything is color coded and very intuitive. Buy yourself a cheap optical audio cable so you can feed your TV/cable/satellite/game console sound back into the system. The part of the set up that I didn't like was the user menu. I am very comfortable with consumer electronics. I rarely read the manuals. The menus are so unintuitive that it's not even funny. Out of the box and set up, the system works good. In order to get it to work great, took some effort. A HUGE gripe of mine is that the default setting for the HDMI to TV is 480p, NOT 1080p. It took some serious digging in the manual and menus to change. There are also three separate places to change the sound setting. One of them is a simple button on the remote, one of them are two rather unexplained buttons on the remote and the other is a menu item only accessible via front panel display prompts that the user guide poorly explains how to access. Anyway, even if you are comfortable with these types of products, be prepared for a longer than usual learning curve.

On the good side, again, this system is great. The picture is fast with no issues of mosiacs, artifacts, etc. The sound is deep and rich. I, in my humble opinion, think it sounds just as good as any other, more expensive system, I've heard. Again, I'm no expert, but my ears love it. It interfaces well with my TV. The remote was easy to program and the two (even though different brands) work well together. My regular DVDs are upconverted to a more than acceptable level. As far total speaker power goes, I'm more than happy. I put in Lord of the Rings and during the loud action scenes, we got some serious rumbling that I'm sure my neighbors won't appreciate. It felt like we were actually in a movie theater.

All in all, I'd highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reasonable home theater system. Be aware that the menus are a pain. I think for the money, you just can't do better. I think even for more money, a lot more, you'd be hard pressed. I'm more than satisfied with the entire set up. Now that I'm used to the menus, it's tolerable, although A little confused by them
