I'm not an A/V expert, nor have I ever claimed to be. I do however, have years of experience working with consumer electronics and enjoy learning and utilizing the newest technologies.

This was my first Blu-Ray or home theater system. For the price, I do not think you could possibly find a better set up. Again, I'm no expert, however the system sounds good and works well. I had fairly low expectations, I didn't expect rich sound or accurate surround quality, I am very pleased with this purchase. After weeks of research and flip flopping between other products, I couldn't be more pleased. This product, for it's category (low end, Blu-ray HTIB) is a solid 5 stars. I think in the entire world of Blu-ray and HTIB products, it would be closer to 4 stars, but that's putting the item in the running with products that cost many multipliers more.

The two biggest Pros and Cons of this system are the same item: set up. Physical set up was a snap. A trained (or untrained, like myself) monkey could set it up. Everything is color coded and very intuitive. Buy yourself a cheap optical audio cable so you can feed your TV/cable/satellite/game console sound back into the system. The part of the set up that I didn't like was the user menu. I am very comfortable with consumer electronics. I rarely read the manuals. The menus are so unintuitive that it's not even funny. Out of the box and set up, the system works good. In order to get it to work great, took some effort. A HUGE gripe of mine is that the default setting for the HDMI to TV is 480p, NOT 1080p. It took some serious digging in the manual and menus to change. There are also three separate places to change the sound setting. One of them is a simple button on the remote, one of them are two rather unexplained buttons on the remote and the other is a menu item only accessible via front panel display prompts that the user guide poorly explains how to access. Anyway, even if you are comfortable with these types of products, be prepared for a longer than usual learning curve.

On the good side, again, this system is great. The picture is fast with no issues of mosiacs, artifacts, etc. The sound is deep and rich. I, in my humble opinion, think it sounds just as good as any other, more expensive system, I've heard. Again, I'm no expert, but my ears love it. It interfaces well with my TV. The remote was easy to program and the two (even though different brands) work well together. My regular DVDs are upconverted to a more than acceptable level. As far total speaker power goes, I'm more than happy. I put in Lord of the Rings and during the loud action scenes, we got some serious rumbling that I'm sure my neighbors won't appreciate. It felt like we were actually in a movie theater.

Pros:
Easy physical set up
Great sound
Powerful sound
Quick loading time
Quality
Price
Easy calibration

Cons:
Poor menus
Short (but not unacceptable) speaker wire length
Out of box settings
Cannot connect to the internet for services like Netflix

All in all, I'd highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reasonable home theater system. Be aware that the menus are a pain. I think for the money, you just can't do better. I think even for more money, a lot more, you'd be hard pressed. I'm more than satisfied with the entire set up. Now that I'm used to the menus, it's tolerable, although Bit confused by them

I had a Blu-ray drive on my computer, but this is my first Blu ray component. It 'was incredibly easy to install. The menus were a bit 'of confusion at times, but the manual I found everything I wanted to tweak. I must say I was impressed, until I started listening to music and watch Blu-ray. The low sub was great, and seems to surround the product. But the battle lines were simply too weak and tinny. I decided then with my experimentSpeakers from my old DVD HTIB. You 6Ohm 100Watt speakers are a bit 'bigger and wood. OMG! The difference was unbelievable! I wanted to post this review just so everyone knows, a pair of stereo speakers and float your old tomb see the child.

The iPod connection is a bit 'disappointing. I put my iTouch and iPhones (it works with the flight mode). The sound was good, but nothing really translated on the screen. It Be Just imagine, play and stop bythe remote control. In the end I would still check out the iPod. The only difference to the LINE IN jack, the few buttons on the remote control and charges while the system is turned on. Panasonic has a much better job of this. Perhaps a firmware upgrade that will change. Although the system is muted when you connect your iPod, a reboot fixes it locked. I found this online.

Finally, with internet connection, you might think that could integrate Netflix and Pandora. But not yet. I hope that aThe firmware update will add it.

All in all, as Blu-ray Home Theater in a Box is great. I set with HDMI and optical connections everywhere, and it was worth it. But I would like maybe a 4.5 or 5 if not the front speakers so weak, was out of the box. But bigger is not a deal breaker as speakers really cheap which added Oomph missing.

I bought this baby last week for my new home. As usual, I have the problem of Air D Originally, I bought myself an HDMI Dynex by Best Buy for $ 30. I was with the association, we know that did not work.

Here are the questions to get to each.
1) I called tech support and they asked me, with the S-Video cable, they sent me to look. It worked, but not a great video sound good. This has not been happy

2) I then tried setting the pixels at 480p with HDMI. It worked well, but still a picture was not good. So I called technical support to get some new leadership.

3) Someone suggested to mean preserving unity in the vicinity of S-AIR main unit and press the button before piaring pair on the back. I knew with my Dynex HDMI cable. It did not work either.

4) I moved my Dynex HDMI cable coated aluminum, has not worked.

Final Solution:

I went to Best Buy in search of Triple shielded cable. I saw a monsterCable (59.99) and cable Fish Rocket (59.99).
Monster Cable looks awesome in the thickness bought and went home and connected ... Long live ..... my stay very long, I kept my 50 "Sony Bravia LCD on a corner and are able to sit in a corner another 15-20 meters. And keep the unit S-Air speakers corner at each end of my couch. This beautiful shielded HDMI cable takes care of them. And the picture quality is sooo amazing with these cables.

I bought one myselfAVATAR buy the best blue ray and oh my ... it rocks !!!!!!

I did not bother calling tech support signal amplifier. So, for those of you who spent € 1,000 on the purchase of the product and give $ 100 for cable and I do not mind ...

Bottom Line: If my friends went home, she could not believe what I will be able to manage the wireless rear speakers bin:) and were shocked to see the power of these tiny speakers ...

I am 100% satisfied with this equipment, it took no more than 30 minutes to setup and then, power on, perfect, everything worked at the first try! the auto setup using microphone was perfect and the result was really impressive.
OK my room is not that big, but the sound is really powerful and makes me feel in a real theater.
Youtube and all Internet features (including auto upgrade of the firmware) worked without any configuration (I am using a wired internet connection, so I didn't need the optional wireless usb device), the image is not being displayed in full screen, I didn't have time yet to find out if this is just a configuration problem or a characteristic of the device, could be a possible problem.

UPDATE: yes, it displays Internet content in full screen! No problem at all with it.

Blu-ray images and sound are perfect and even DVD images are very well upscaled.
No HDMI input is a possible problem, but all my equipments were already connected to the LCD TV, so I connected the TV to this unit with an optical cable and disabled the TV sound, no problem at all, wii console, cable box, broadcast TV, all sources are correctly played using all speakers.
Considering the price of this unit, I am really happy with my purchase.

I'm going with what is evil and why I have a Samsung TV stars.I four one of the reasons I bought was, so I sync all my devices with one remote control and feature Anynet (a Samsung system AV network was run for the automated control Samsung audio-video). This has, unfortunately, a slow painful process of learning, his hours of work, but there are ways some open questions (egAnynet sometimes takes a long time to detect the devices). Finally, I want the rear speakershave access. You can buy an expensive low-rated Samsung wireless receiver to resolve the problem.

Now for the good part. This is a 2010 model! not 09 not 08:) For the price, you get a Blu Ray home theater system + + + + Internet FM iPod Dock. It produces a big sound that fills my tiny apartment. I like the option of automatic calibration of sound is that the speakers sound based on set distance. I get crystal clear FM and iPod dock works great with my iPod Nano.To be honest, its hard to get a decent home theater system with all these accessories for almost $ 400.

Suggestions:
1) Buy a HDMI and optical audio cable from Amazon (not supplied with the device), some stores charge outrageous prices.
2) I recommend reading the guide Anynet, just Google Anynet + guide understood. Save time!
3) The price on the HT-C5500 appear to range from $ 50 change in different sites - Shop around for the best price.

HD DVD starts - they can afford Toppusutoriotakuuisshu.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010 § 0

At Frye's over the weekend I saw two half shelves worth of HD-DVD software. This is only remarkable because I had not been to an electronics superstore recently to see such a display. I know they've been out for weeks or a month or a I don't care.

The HD-DVDs were grouped at the end of the anime section just before the nature and historical videos. I can't remember the first weeks or months of DVD's launch but it was probably just as pathetic (I remember only seeing Eraser and Twister DVDs for a year before I cared about DVD as a source of entertainment). The discs were packaged in the same clam cases as normal DVDs, the "HD-DVD" banner at the top was the only tip-off. Blockbuster!/must buy! titles included: Rumor Has It, The Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing, Swordfish, Doom.

This is all I get after dropping $500 on my new Toshiba HD-A1 HD DVD player? (I ask hypothetically, as I don't have any such player.) Penny Arcade found a use for the Phantom of the Opera HD-DVD.

If I were the King of All Home Entertainment Media (like Mark Cuban or Mickey Mouse), I'd write this memo to all my media minions:

Dear whichever studios are launching HD-DVD: The following titles will force me to adopt your new disc format: Digital Video Essentials (to calibrate before we watch the rest of the launch titles), Star Wars Episodes IV-VI, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Blade Runner, Alien and Aliens, King Kong, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter movies, Moulin Rouge, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Princess Mononoke, Serenity (actually this is a launch title! Go Team Whedon), Sin City, Apocalypse Now, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws, Romeo+Juliet, Fight Club, Terminator 2, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Lion King, The Incredibles, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Spider-Man movies, Batman and Batman Begins, X-Men Movies, Superman 1 and 2, Kill Bill, Casablanca, North By Northwest, The Graduate, The Fifth Element, Blue Velvet, and Planet of the Apes.

Now that's a launch.

After every geek collects their jaws from the floor they would be ready to invest in the best HD-DVD player they could find. The entire launch catalog described above would break all home video sales records. These are the movies we are willing to buy over and over again. It wouldn't matter if half of the titles were rushed to production and didn't eek out the finest high definition quality because the movie studios could release an extra Features six months, we will re-HD - DVD saw that the best sound a little better than SD - DVD presentation is to buy the same name.

Open HD - DVD a lot of pressure. The rumor has been unable to throw open a bottle rocket attack.

Recommend : discount Sony BDV series : review and comparison Dumbo movie

I rent my house, I'm so hesitant, cut with a real component having home theater system in my room, I go with a stick HTIB. HITB on Blu-ray market is relatively low at the moment, so I shelled out more than I expected in this system. Fortunately, it was worth the money.

These small speakers "bar" (do not know what else could really be called) are incredible. They are smaller than I expected from photos and descriptions, but once set up and configured forRoom (furniture is a bit 'annoying, but the configuration in which all devices in the city is fast and easy) I was blown away. Just listen to all those who believe, the sound is funk, frail-looking wafer-speakers. The subcommittee, although passive, Pound low notes.

The system comes with wall brackets and are small and light enough that I installed the modem this weekend. It comes only with desktop stand - if you want the speakers on the mountainSoil, you must raise a series of charges to buy speakers again, the appropriate level. Given the low height and footprint of the stand-mounted speakers, I WAS the front speakers on the Same Level as the TV room and rear speakers on a table beside my bed.

I was more insecure wireless speakers, but the included S-Air system is working fine. S-AIR unit plugs into a socket and connects wirelessly to the versatile receiver, and backSpeakers plug into the S-Air units, instead of the laptop, so there's no worry about batteries. Surround sound through the unit was fine.

The only downside is that you place the speaker wires in the door speaker. Sony has a good idea, but simply not up to snuff. The wires end in beautiful large gold-plated items into the bottom of the speakers used, and should seek, but the small size of the housing andpoverty speaker wires directly to these ports (where you tend to "push") makes it a bit 'difficult to do correctly. I'm not sure that all cables are correct, or blocking is not up to par, how to "gently tug on the wires out without them - but everyone seemed They Come Easily with minimal effort. Once I tried it and thought that would be good enough, the rest of the installation was simple andSpeakers are working properly.

Also watch out for the tape on the front of the system that the drive door is closed. The mine was easy to forget, until I pressed the open button on the remote control and realized that something was wrong.

I always think that 2000 is still a bit 'on the expensive side, but I do not regret buying this system because I have too much rather than spent, and spent far less and be disappointed sastified.

Special NoteAppreciation to Sony for a fairly detailed manual and help explantions extra on-screen menu, installation / configuration. separately in a time when most companies give very little information printed from a single leaf, fold poorly documented, this has been a pleasure.

Pros:
Great search system
small, lightweight speaker bar
excellent sound
Easy setup configuration system
easily updated via a network connection management
abundantly in / out options (twoespecially in optical audio)
S-Unit features
System upgrade to 7.1

Cons:
wire connectors on the speaker bar
Price
No extensor floor stand included in the package

Where to start ...

Nerd's Notes:
Especially for those who have been the Sony BDV-E570, which has been prepared for the year, it is possible, before they have fixed the problems with the software update. I believe I received such a model. Be overly concerned Nerd that I am, I read the manual. It is not very specific, but say that the connector cable network upgrade. If they are, and you should not rush to take the update via WiFi. Well, you cantake that a step further, (what I did, of course), and you can upgrade directly from Sony, you put files on a CD-R disc, then insert the disk in the drive and run the upgrade in this way ( it automatically detects that the disk contains the update files, very nice). This worked perfectly. No question, as the horror stories about this model I (used this year, his hearing), and its successor, the BDV-E770W. Due to the age of the model I received, was to meet two updates, what I did, with two separate drives for each update. They take a bit ', so do not start one if you have a place to be. You must do both, and this change is more important than the features that this site will remain what Most people find a HTIB 3D-capable Blu-ray features (DLNA can do both, why should I get this model).

Now for the good things.

Cabling: The room that I put in is wired for 7.1, connects the rearSpeaker was not a problem. Speakers pinch standard connectors, insert the wire, and you're set. On the receiving side, it is the custom connector, so you have to splice cables into the wall, if you wire them (he seems a bit 'short for a bigger room).

Network: Okay, I managed to get this on my network Dual-Band Wireless-N, even though all settings must be adjusted manually, did not look to the WPS (WiFi Protected asSetup), wireless settings are configured automatically. When the updates, all network capabilities, Netflicks, YouTube, Pandora, Slacker, and so on.

Sound: You Quapou once the room is drawn up in line, and fills the room with plenty of sound. I'm not a crank, and there is more to offer than a pleasant enough sound home cinema experience.

Video: here there is not much to say except .... WOW. The upscaling is very good. BD is awsome.

System Menu: We have a Sony LCD, I was dependent on the menu interface XMB (Cross Media Bar), the same interface of the PS3. It looks great and is easylink. This system has the same menu interface, find, and the extra content on the Internet very easy.

Contra is not many, but apart from the lack of video inputs (not for me but it could be a serious problem for the others), there are only few things I want to mention. First, a network function that I chose this model / line: DLNA. For some reason he can not see established the DLNA server that I put online. I am looking for the reasons andrepost if I find a solution. Speaker, while the 2.1, the weight of my previous HTIB, seem weak. The fund is a passive sub, may fail while others do not seem to be less than my last system which had a powered sub fist. The exterior of the system is very simple black glossy (fingerprint magnet kid) on the front, when viewed with a lack of knobs and buttons, there is little in the way of winning their attention Twist / print etc.

Overall this is an idealSystem for those looking for an 'all-in-one solution to Internet content. It is strong enough for a medium size room, and is easy to use. It is a receiver of low profile, and that those with limited space to enjoy. The cost is very good (up to 400), and I do not see Replacing a system for at least three years has seen that all the features and functions, I miss some time.

Amazon: WOW. I ordered this system with3:30 clock on Wednesday savings with free shipping. The system was delivered the next day (Thursday).

UPDATE 7/25/10: Got DLNA work, my server showed only a day, was probably due to a reboot I DLNA server. Music flows easily over the network, as well as pictures. Still trying to understand what is digital HD video game, it probably will not be of DivX files, but these files must be sent back to the server to see how they work. Very niceFeature! Makes it very convenient if you want to play on your digital library and do not want to plug in iPod or iPhone constantly changing CDs.

Still very happy with this system! I am more movies and content straight from my collection or to rent.

I did some research, and this system is identical to the BDV-770W, with the exception of the rear speakers wireless S-Air, which paid almost $ 200 on value added.

I'm not an A / V expert, nor have I ever claimed to be. I believe, however, have years of experience in dealing with consumer electronics and the joy of learning and using the latest technologies.

This was my first Blu-Ray or home theater system. For the price, I do not think you could probably better established. Again, I am no expert, but the system sounds good and works well. I had pretty low expectations, I did not expect the quality of surround sound or just rich, they are very satisfiedthis purchase. After weeks of research and flip-flops of other products could not be happier. This product in its category (low-end Blu-ray HTIB) is a solid 5 stars. I think the world of Blu-ray HTIB products, is closer to 4 stars, but this is still the element in the current products that cost many more multipliers.

The two biggest advantages and disadvantages of this system are the same article: Set. Physics was set up a breeze. A qualified (or untrained, like me) could be monkeys. Everything is color coded and very intuitive. Get a good optical audio cable to your TV / satellite / cable TV / game console sound can feed back into the system. The body part I do not like the user menu was. I am very comfortable with electronics. I rarely read the manuals. The menus are intuitive, so it's not even funny. Out of the box and set up the system works well. To make it work a lot, took some effort.A hair in the soup is huge for me that the default setting for the TV HDMI 480p, 1080p NOT. It took some serious digging in the manual and change the menu. There are also three separate places, to change the sound. One of them is a simple push of a button on the remote, they are one of two buttons on the remote quite unresolved and the other is a menu item on the front panel display requires only that the manual says bad as you access. However, even if you are comfortable with theseTypes of products for a longer learning curve than usual will be prepared.

On the positive side, however, this same system. The image quickly, without problems mosiacs, artifacts, etc. The sound is deep and rich. I, in my humble opinion, I believe that sound as good as everyone else, the most expensive I've heard. Again, I am no expert, but my ears love it. It interfaces well with my TV. The remote is easy to program and two (although other brands) work well together. MyRegular DVDs are upconverted to an acceptable level. As regards the overall power speaker, I am more than happy. I am the Lord of the Rings and during the action scenes aloud, we got some serious signs that I make sure my neighbors do not appreciate. It was like we really are in a cinema.

Pros:
Easy to set up physical
Great sound
Powerful sound
Fast loading times
Quality
Price
Easy calibration

Cons:
Poor menu
Short(Not acceptable) the length of speaker cable
Outside the window settings
Unable to connect to the Internet to services like Netflix

All in all, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a home theater audio system. Be aware that the menus are a pain. I think for the money, you can not do better. I think even for more money, much more, it would be hard pressed. I am more than satisfied with the whole of creation. Now that I am, to use the menus, is tolerable, even ifstill rather confused, as they did.
