After researching several differnet Sony S-Air components, I took the plunge and ordered the WAHT SA-10 - I'm glad I did.

First (and most important to me) the sound.
I am using this with a Sony HTSS370 1000 watt surround system and the EZWT100 transmitter card. After reading a couple of negative reviews that talk about interference with wireless internet signal, I set the SA-10 to the 'b' transmit channel before even hooking it up.

I have absolutely NO problem running this system and wireless internet at the same time, and the sound is great - I did not expect it to be so clear and crisp! I expected the sound to suffer a bit due to it being wireless, but this is not the case - sounds just as good as the front speakers.

Some have said this doesn't work with HDMI - not true at all. My whole setup is HDMI.

The system was extremely easy to set up - the HTSS370 receiver has an auto pairing setting - you just start the pairing setup and press the pairing button on the SA-10 - that's it!

As an added perk, the SA-10 has a headphone jack - when you plug in a set of phones, all other sound turns off automatically. Also, when you plug in the phones, the HTSS370 receiver automatically gives you a surround headphone setting! Full surround with just a standard set of phones - this is a feature I will use a lot!

Overall, I am very impressed with this unit - not sure why Sony would discontinue it, but then again, I'm not sure how they succeed with their horrible product documentation and support - their site offers NO useful info. When I was researching which Sony wireless product would work for my needs, I ultimately had to ask people who had reviewed the other products on Amazon...

Highly recommended if you are interested in a wireless surround system for not a lot of money, get this while you can.

Let me preface this by saying I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile; I pride myself on my music and my movies sounding pristine. So, needless to say I was a little hesitant about buying this home theater-in-a-box for my girlfriend. But, I did my research and decided on the Panasonic SC-BT730.

The setup was quite easy. The first thing I did was plug the wireless transmitter into the back of the player/receiver, put it in its nest, then plopped the rear speakers* in their places. The "tallboys" assembled easily enough, and while I was a little worried about tightening the screws fully, they held together fine. Due to the living room setup the wireless receiver sits next to one of the rear speakers, so the cable from the far speaker barely reaches... but it did indeed reach.

Next I setup the two front side speakers and the center speaker, noting the heft of the center speaker as I did so. These also setup easily enough that my girlfriend's 11 year old could have probably done it.

Lastly I connected the HDMI cable and antenna, then quickly and eagerly swooped up the plastic, styrofoam, and twist ties strewn about the floor.

I powered up the TV, flipped to HDMI input and turned on the BluRay... and we had blast off! I was apprehensive about the long power up time, but was relieved to find that the second time I turned it on it was much faster (even with fast start up disabled). I followed the easy on screen instructions (oops! Left the wireless receiver off), plugged in the mic for auto speaker calibration (buzzzz, buzzzz, buzzzz), and immediately played with the other settings.

After I was happy with my setting choices I turned to my girlfriend's favorite FM station and made sure it came in crystal clear (it did... as much as FM can) and programmed in a few other stations (which was pretty intuitive).

20 minutes later we were settled in (I rented the new Clash of the Titans specifically to test out our wonderful new toy) and were immediately immersed in a torrent of surround sound and visual goodness. Every time something passed "behind us" and I could *hear* it back there I would grin and momentarily flash-back to the mid (or was it late?) 80s when my father had the first surround sound setup I'd ever seen (outside of the theaters) and how giddy I was then.

I have the speaker setup reversed, if you will, with the "tallboy" speakers as the surround speakers, and the satellite speakers up front. The couch is against the wall and I don't wish to mount the satellites, but since the tallboys and the little small monitors are both 60w with the same response (120Hz - 20kHz) and the same impedance (3ohms) I thought "what the heck", and so far it's worked out well. I'll end up playing with their locations and swapping them around, but until I decide on some speaker stands it's more than functional.

The overall sound is great. The sub-woofer, of course, isn't what a powered one would be, but it produces enough to make you feel it. The tallboys, middle speaker, and the surround speakers all produce a nice clear sound... not tinny at all. While there are, of course, limitations to what a small monitor's capable of, these exceeded my expectations. Also, after adequate burn-in (played) time these speakers should sound even *better*.

In summary, I was very happy and quite impressed with the great sound this HTiB delivers, and especially Price! (Hey, I love yuan Amazon 350) Panasonic fan because I remember right, they have once again proven why.

I recently just purchased this to replace my five disc Sony dvd player surround.I got this on sale at Walmart for 8. I brought it home and since the speakers are the same color code as my old speakers,I didn't have to do any rewiring. I just simply unplugged the speakers from the back of my dvd player, unplugged the Hdmi cable and unplugged it. I plugged the speakers back into this one and reconnected the Hdmi wire and plugged it in. That was it. I have all my speakers set up in the front of my room on my entertainment unit. This is a set up option. I had never seen a blu ray before,so I rented some from blockbuster to try this out. Avatar(which I own on dvd) was amazing on Blu!! Then we watched Wolfman and I wasn't as impressed. Being as I hadn't really done the setup on this,I decided to do so. Then I found out that the default settings on this unit is 480p!! I read the manual and calibrated my speakers, upgraded to 1080p,and did everything the manual said for best pic and sound. I reinserted Wolfman and it was very crisp and a huge improvement. It actually made me wonder that Avatar must be that damned good to awe me at 480p!!! Anyway, the sound on this is incredible!!! Blu rays really have awesome sound compared to dvd and this really uses all the speakers and you can hear what everyone is saying loud and clear!! On Blus I never have to go above 20 on the volume. Dvds I usually have to up to 22 unless they have DTS. It really upgrades the dvd picture quality too!!Music sounds incredible. I don't ever use the radio since I live out in the country and cannot recieve any signals and the Ipod dock is useless to me since I don't have an Ipod or Iphone. I sold my old player for 0, so I really ended up paying 0 for this. You can't beat that at all!!! Syncs perfectly with my Sony Bravia 46 inch LCD tv too!!!

I have had a blu ray drive on my computer but this is my first component blu ray drive. It was incredibly easy to setup. The menus were a little confusing at times, but with the manual I could find everything I wanted to tweak. I must say I was impressed until I started listening to music and watching blu rays. The Bass was great from the sub, and the surround speakers immersed you in the product. But the fronts were just too weak and tinny sounding. I decided I would experiment with my old speakers from my DVD HTIB. They are 6ohm 100watt speakers that are a little bigger and wooden. OMG! the difference was astounding! I wanted to post this review just to let everyone know to grab a pair of your old stereo speakers and watch this baby soar.

The Ipod connection was a little disappointing. I plugged my itouch and iphone in (works with airplane mode). The sound was fine, but nothing really translated onto the screen. It just let you advance, play and stop from the remote. In the end I still would control it from the ipod. The only difference from the line in jack is the few remote buttons and it charges while the system is on. Panasonic does a much better job with this. Maybe a firmware upgrade will change this. Also if your system is stuck in muting when you plug ipod in, a reboot fixes it. I found this online.

Finally, with Internet connectivity you would think they could integrate Netflix and Pandora. But not yet. I am hoping a firmware upgrade will add them.

All in all, as a Blu Ray home theater in a box it is superb. I set it up with HDMI and Optical connections all around and it paid off. But I would have given it a 4.5 or 5 if the front speakers hadn't been so weak out of the box. But not a deal breaker as cheap bigger speakers really added the oomph it was missing.
